The aim of this website is to provide some basic information on a number of different conservation topics including the craft of hedgelaying and the national treewarden scheme.

However, the information given here is meant to be a guide (a starting point) and is not intended to be taken as expert advice.

I hope that you enjoy reading the material presented here and, maybe, become inspired enough to get involved in active conservation work yourself.

There are many wildlife organisations and charities in existence who could do with an extra pair of hands (your hands!) to help them in their efforts to preserve the countryside and wildlife for us and our children.
